Toronto Lakefront Community is a volunteer advocacy group, founded in 2020 by residents of Scarborough-Southwest and Beaches-East York. We recognized the unique waterfront related issues facing our communities and we pledged to do our best to resolve them. Our mandate includes, but is not limited to, erosion control; safe access for the public, the city, and first responders; accessibility for people with disabilities; in-water safety of swimmers and paddlers; and beach and water cleanliness.

We pledge to keep the lakefront clean, safe and accessible for all to enjoy. As citizen stewards of our lakefront, we will work with our community partners and all levels of government to raise awareness of issues, and to actively resolve issues related to the safety, accessibility and cleanliness of the beach and the water.
